43 people including 4 children and prisoners have been found corona positive in Byculla Jail in South Mumbai. All these patients have appeared in the ongoing investigation for the last 10 days. According to the health officer of BMC e-ward, more than 600 prisoners have been screened so far. All of them have been quarantined by BMC at Patanwala School located near the jail.
Let us inform that 10 days ago a female prisoner was found corona infected in Byculla Jail. After this, a check-up camp was organized there on behalf of BMC e-ward. Health Officer of E-ward Dr. Shailendra Gujar said that a screening camp was organized at Byculla Jail on 16 September after a prisoner was found to be corona infected.
During this, 6 female prisoners were suffering from fever. During the investigation of these women, 3 female prisoners were found infected. After this, 97 prisoners were investigated on 18 September, in which 36 female prisoners including 4 children were found to be Corona positive. Dr. Gujar said that 250-250 women prisoners were examined in two phases, out of which 4 prisoners were found to be corona positive. So far 43 people have been found corona infected here in 10 days.
