Actress Shubhavi Choksi lost her hands from two TV shows when she sought Sunday’s leave.

Shubhavi said, ‘When I had just started working, I used to work on Sundays. But when my son was born and rested, I was sure that after starting I would take a day off to spend time with my son and husband. It is important for me to spend time with my family and friends. So I started doing this in 2012. He used to take one day off in a week. Shubhavi further told that she and the makers used to get a little tensed. She says, ‘When I told people about my Sunday off, they said, ‘Ma’am, it can’t happen. But when I would insist on him and ask him to include it in the contract, at first he was hesitant to do so. But later he understood my point and accepted my demand. Many makers understand my point.

Although Shubhavi had to lose some shows. He revealed, ‘I had to miss two shows on Sunday when I asked for leave. I understand his point but I need it because I have to take care of my son. And I want to spend time with him. On Sundays we go to watch movies, do some outdoor activities. I also spend time with my husband. Shubhavi feels that now it should be made a must in the industry. ‘People should get their weekly off. By law, they should get off on Sundays.
