The theft continued in the branch of State Bank of India located at Mahant Maniyari Chowk in Maniyari police station area of ​​Muzaffarpur district. According to the information received, Mahant tried to steal cash in SBI branch located at Maniyari Chowk. But when the watchman raised the noise, everyone ran away. Hearing the noise, people gathered from around. Police was informed. Patrol team reached the spot and investigated. Bank manager Rajesh Kumar reached the bank at around 12 noon. SHO Ajay Paswan also reached and started investigation again.

The bank is inside a market. Thieves entered the market late night by climbing the boundary wall from behind. After this, three locks of the grill and shutter were cut. Then entered inside and broke the printer. A total of six locks including the paper room were hacked by the thieves. But, could not reach the strong room. The thieves kept roaming till the cashier’s counter and the branch manager’s chamber.

SHO Ajay Paswan said that an FIR has been registered after recording the statement of the branch manager. The branch manager said that the bank has a capacity to keep up to Rs 19 lakh.
