Ruckus broke out between BJP and TMC workers on the last day of campaigning in Bhawanipur, West Bengal. BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh, who arrived here for campaigning, was allegedly surrounded by TMC workers. The situation got so bad that Dilip Ghosh’s gunner had to wave the pistol. Now the BJP delegation has met the Chief Electoral Officer in Kolkata today on this whole matter.
By-elections are going to be held on 30 September in the high profile seat Bhawanipur. From here, TMC veteran Mamta Banerjee is competing with BJP’s Priyanka Tibrewal. Both the candidates have given their full strength for the campaign. However, on the last day of the election campaign on Monday, there was a tremendous uproar between both the sides and there was also a fight.
Dilip Ghosh had come to campaign with the workers
BJP MP Dilip Ghosh along with his workers had reached Jadubabu Bazar in Bhawanipur to campaign. TMC workers standing on the other side started protesting and started raising slogans against the opposition party. TMC and BJP workers clashed in BJP’s street corner meeting. Mukund Jha, the South Kolkata president of BJP’s Yuva Morcha, was reportedly injured in the attack. He was admitted to SSKM Hospital.

A video of this has surfaced in which Dilip Ghosh is surrounded by protesters and slogans are being raised against him. While his security guards are seen struggling. The security officer also raised a gun in the air to disperse the crowd.
