New Delhi:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday resumed the cooperation program to help party workers and general public in the aftermath of Kovid-19.

BJP chief J. P. Nadda inaugurated the Sahyog program – an initiative under which a Union Minister would interact with the public, listen to and redress their grievances, at the party headquarters in the national capital every day.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya listened to the problems of workers and general public on Monday. BJP National Vice President A. P. Abdullakutty also met Mandaviya and gave a representation regarding the Ministry of Health.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju will listen to the problems of the public and workers on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Union Information and Broadcasting and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and on Thursday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will hear public grievances. Due to Friday being a public holiday, no minister will sit at the party headquarters to hear complaints.

Naveen Sinha, coordinator of BJP’s cooperation program, told IANS that the program has been going on for the last seven years and was halted due to the Covid pandemic. Today it has started once again, he said. Around 100 people met the Union Health Minister and shared their problems. Mandaviya addressed the grievances relating to the Union Health Ministry and forwarded the remaining complaints to the concerned Ministry.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had participated in the last cooperation event held on March 20, 2020, before the pandemic. After coming to power at the Center in the year 2014, this initiative was taken to listen and solve the problems of common people and laborers.

Under the scheme, a minister would sit for two hours at the party headquarters five days a week from Monday to Friday. The Union minister’s roster for next week’s program will be finalized every Friday and put up on the party’s website.
