Lucknow. Once again, due to the rapid increase in the cases of corona virus in Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, surveillance and awareness campaign is being intensified in UP. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the monitoring committees to look for suspected patients by making active and door-to-door contact. That’s why CM Yogi held a review meeting with the high level team-9 on Thursday. He said that rapid immunization with aggressive tracing, testing and prompt treatment has yielded good results in UP.
Be proactive about dengue and diarrhea
Actually on April 30, there were 3,10,786 corona patients here, but today this number has come down to 102, while 16,87,123 people have been cured of the infection. He said that apart from corona, dengue and diarrhea patients are also increasing in the state. In such a situation, monitoring committees should be activated to improve surveillance and identify patients and provide them better treatment as per the need. Along with this, instructions were given to make people aware about the necessity of masks.
CM expressed satisfaction over the better condition of UP
Amit Mohan Prasad Additional Chief Secretary Health informed the Chief Minister that according to the latest situation, there is not a single patient of Kovid in 38 districts, there is only one patient in 21 districts. In the last 24 hours, 1 lakh 63 thousand 781 samples were tested, where a total of 11 new patients were found in only 10 districts. While 7 patients were also corona free. On this, CM Yogi expressed satisfaction over the better condition of UP as compared to other states and instructed to be careful about overcrowding in view of festivals.
More people taking both doses of vaccine in UP
Actually, UP remains on the first place in the country in terms of Kovid testing and vaccination. So far more than 12 crore 83 lakh vaccine doses have been applied here. More than 09 crore 71 lakh people have received the first dose of the vaccine. This is more than 66 percent of the total population of the state eligible for vaccination. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of people receiving both doses of the vaccine. Here more than 03 crore 11 lakh people have taken both the doses.
