According to the data released by the Health Ministry of Jharkhand government on Tuesday night, 249 people were found infected in the capital Ranchi, 202 in East Singhbhum, 179 in Dumka and 303 in Simdega in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,490 new cases were reported in the state and nine more people died during this period.
It has been told in the report that so far a total of 4,23,328 people have been infected in the state, out of which 4,02,222 people have become infection free. Of the nine people who died on Tuesday, three each were infected in Ranchi and East Singhbhum and one each in Deoghar, Seraikela and West Singhbhum.
