NEW DELHI: The police have arrested a 56-year-old man alongside along with his UP-based affiliate and seized 300 grams of heroin price Rs 50 lakh from them, police mentioned on Friday.
The accused have been recognized as Ghanshyam, a resident of Peeragarhi village in Delhi and Parvez Alam (23), a resident of Budaun in Uttar Pradesh, they mentioned.
“Police obtained data that Ghanshyam could be supplying heroin to somebody close to his home at Peeragarhi. Thereafter, a lure was laid and he was apprehended,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Chinmoy Biswal mentioned.
Throughout interrogation, Ghanshyam, who was an electrician disclosed that he’s a drug addict. Resulting from his dependancy, he bought his store and even his marriage couldn’t be solemnized, police mentioned.
Later, Alam was additionally arrested from Budaun, police mentioned.
Police seized 200 grams heroin from Ghanshyam and 100 grams from a motorbike from Alam. The seized drug is price over Rs 50 lakh within the worldwide market, they added.
