The residents of Transport Nagar of Lucknow are still deprived of basic facilities like road, electricity, water, telephone line, drain, sewerage line, parking, sewerage treatment plant, fire station, park, post office, first aid center. Due to the bad condition of the roads here, it is very common for trucks and goods vehicles to get stuck in accidents, road jams and potholes on the roads.
Lucknow. The capital’s transport city has been a victim of neglect since its inception. The residents and traders are still yearning for basic facilities like road, electricity, water, telephone line, drain, sewerage line, parking, sewerage treatment plant, fire station, park, post office, first aid center etc.
It has been told by TPS Aneja, President of Transport Nagar Vyapar Mandal and Ware House Owners Association that the Transport Nagar scheme was launched in 1982 by the Lucknow District Administration in collaboration with the Lucknow Development Authority. On behalf of the Transport Nagar allottees, Transport Nagar Vyapar Mandal and Ware House Owners Association have been dealing with Lucknow Development Authority for the last 35 years (1986) on their infrastructure related problems like road, electricity, water, telephone line, drain, sewerage line, parking, There is a continuous demand for sewerage treatment plants, fire stations, parks, post offices, first aid centers etc. Due to the bad condition of the roads here, it is very common for trucks and goods vehicles to get stuck in accidents, road jams and potholes on the roads. On 31 January 1997, the then Senior Superintendent of Police had ordered to displace the people of transport/agency/warehouse/wholesale traders and other related works set up in the city out of the city under the Transport Nagar scheme. Lucknow Development Authority and Lucknow Municipal Corporation are not ready to take any kind of responsibility or fulfill the promise. There are many allottees who have not been given possession till date. They are circling the authority for the last 3 decades.
The Vice-Chairman, Lucknow Development Authority, by order issued on September 18, 2021, has immediately stopped all the work of map acceptance, free-hold, conversion, extension of lease or all other proceedings by taking levy in the allotted plots. In continuation of this order, Additional Secretary, Lucknow Development Authority has sent notice to the allottees of Transport Nagar on 22nd September 2021. In which it was said in relation to the violation of the conditions of lease deed for non-completion of construction work in the prescribed period under Transport Nagar Yojana and cancellation of properties under Section 18(4) of Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act 1973 and re-entry. Is. The surprising fact is that the “Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act-1973 Section 18(4)” mentioned in the order of the Vice President is not mentioned in the registered lease deed with the allottees of Transport Nagar. By referring to this act, efforts are being made by the authority to mentally harass the allottees. In this regard, three years ago, a committee was constituted by the then Vice-Chairman of Lucknow Development Authority to take a decision regarding freeholding of allottees of Transport Nagar Yojana. It may be noted that Lucknow Development Authority has been selling free hold plots to new allottees in Transport Nagar Yojna for the last 3 years.
In this regard, a complaint was made to the Minister of Uttar Pradesh government and MLA from Sarojini Nagar, Swati Singh, but after not getting any satisfactory answer, he was also informed about the pathetic condition of Transport Nagar after meeting Lucknow MP and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Its conditions are not improving here.
