Gehlot announced on Gandhi Jayanti 50% discount on Khadi products in Rajasthan

Jaipur. 50 percent discount will be given on Khadi products in the national capital. This exemption, which started on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday, will remain till the end of this year. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made this announcement. The Chief Minister tweeted, ‘From today on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 50% discount will be given on Khadi products till 31st December in all Khadi institutions of the state.

He said that 35% relaxation would be given by the State Government and 15% relaxation would be given by the Central Government.

Gehlot paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Secretariat and Gandhi Circle on Gandhi Jayanti. He also participated in all religion prayer meeting and wreath laying program at Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee Headquarters on the occasion of birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

It is noteworthy that the state government had earlier given a discount of up to 50 percent on Khadi products in the year 2019 to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary year of Gandhiji. With the aim of promoting the use of Khadi products once again, the Chief Minister has announced a 50 percent discount on Khadi products in the state. With this announcement of Gehlot, the Khadi institutions will be empowered and the weavers, artisans etc. associated with them will get strength.
