Heavy rain expected in West Bengal till October 20

Kolkata, Oct 17 (PTI) Due to the low pressure area over North Telangana and southeasterly winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal, West Bengal may receive heavy rains till October 20. The Meteorological Department gave this information on Sunday.

The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the sea till Tuesday. It also warned of rise in water level of rivers, water logging in low-lying areas and landslides in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts due to heavy rains.
