During the hearing, Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Raj Tilak informed the court that the accused was admitted to the Government Stanley Medical College Hospital on Monday after he complained of chest pain. He is still undergoing treatment as an inpatient. APP said the accused was taken to government ophthalmologists on November 15 and 20 as he is suffering from diabetic retinopathy in both eyes. Ophthalmologists treated him and asked him to come for review on November 27. Tilak said that the government hospital is fully equipped for the treatment of the petitioner. In his affidavit, the accused had said that he was arrested in June this year and has been in jail since then.
