Addressing the 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company’s shareholders, Nilekani said that FY 2022 has been a year of extraordinary growth for the company. The company has grown at a rate of 19.7 per cent this year, the highest in the last 11 years. The company’s co-founder Nilekani said that the company faced many challenges in this financial year, but the company has turned every challenge into an opportunity to increase its market share.
The board of directors of the company has recommended a final dividend of Rs 16 per share, he said. Apart from this, there is also an interim dividend of Rs 15 per share which takes the total dividend in FY 2022 to Rs 31 per share. In this way the company has given more than Rs 13,000 crore as dividend. He said the board of directors has recommended the reappointment of Salil Parekh as the chief executive officer and managing director of Infosys. Nilekani said that Parekh’s second term will be of five years, which will last from July 1, 2022 to March 31, 2027. Parekh’s annual package during this tenure will be around Rs 79.75 crore, which is about 88 per cent more than his last financial year salary.
