Amarendra Kumar Giani, Chaibasa: In Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum, the police have recovered half-burnt bodies of husband and wife from the forest (Jharkhand Double Murder News). The initial reason for his murder is said to be superstition. This sensational case is of Bundu village of the highly Naxal-affected Tonto police station area of the district. The police has started investigating the matter (Jharkhand Police). However, the villagers are also not telling anything clearly about the murder.

Police said that Gomiy Kerai and his wife, a resident of the highly Naxal-affected Bundu village of Tonto police station area, have been murdered. The matter was reported to the Superintendent of Police from the villagers. After which SP Ajay Linda formed the team under the leadership of SDPO Jagannathpur Ikur Dungdung, SDPO Kiriburu Ajit Kumar Kujur. On Sunday, after a search operation in the forest, the bodies of the deceased couple were recovered.

After the double murder, the police started investigation regarding the discovery of the dead body in half-burnt condition. However, even after such a big incident, the people of Bundu village were not ready to say anything. It is feared that the killers had threatened not to inform the police about the incident. Along with this, a warning of dire consequences was also given if the incident was reported. This is the reason that there was delay in getting the information to the police, it is being told that the incident had happened on January 20 itself.
