Washington, Apr 26 (AP) US Vice President Kamala Harris was confirmed on Tuesday to be infected with the coronavirus as restrictions were eased to return to pre-pandemic normalcy. The White House gave this information.
The White House said both rapid and PCR tests confirmed Harris to be infected. However, they have “shown no symptoms” of the disease.
Harris will remain in isolation at her residence but will continue to work and return to the White House only after she is free of infection.
Harris (57) had a booster dose in October last year after taking both doses of the anti-Covid vaccine. After that, on April 1, he got an additional booster dose.
The White House has said that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden had not come in “close contact” with Vice President Harris in recent days.
