From Beleghat Sandhani and Jagat Mukherjee Park in north Kolkata to Hindustan Park and Bospukur Talbagan in the southern part of the city, the crowd continued to grow in the evening. People were seen struggling to see the idols from a distance of 10 meters.

Forum for Durgotsav chief Kajal Sarkar said, “Last year, the puja pandals had negligible crowds. But this year, most of the people who got vaccinated took to the streets. We are requesting people to follow the safety rules.

The Burj Khalifa pandal of Sreebhumi Sporting Club was deserted today, in fact, on Wednesday night, the police removed it from the reach of the public as there was a possibility of the spread of Kovid-19 due to the huge gathering there.
