The other ministers of the rebel camp are Shambhuraj Desai, Abdul Sattar and Bacchu Kadu. Kadu heads the Prahar Janshakti Party which is part of the ruling coalition led by Shiv Sena. Raut also claimed that Thackeray had Shinde’s name in mind for the top post when Shiv Sena had forged an alliance with the BJP and said that the chief minister’s post would be shared by both the parties.
‘Half of the rebels have nothing to do with Hindutva’
After the 2019 elections in the state, the alliance between the two allies broke over the issue of rotation of the chief minister’s post, following which the Shiv Sena joined hands with the Congress and the NCP. Raut also said that half of the rebels have nothing to do with Hindutva but are facing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe.

Meanwhile, Union minister Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government in Maharashtra is now in a minority in the assembly as two-thirds of Shiv Sena MLAs have gone with rebel leader Eknath Shinde. After meeting former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis, Athawale said rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has the support of more than two-thirds of the MLAs, after which the MVA government has been reduced to a minority. He also said that Shiv Sena workers should not threaten the rebel MLAs. Athawale said that if Shiv Sena workers do dadagiri, then we are also able to react in the same way.
