The Moroccan king met the parents of the deceased innocent

“Following this tragic accident in which Ryan Oram lost his life, King Mohammed VI called Ryan’s parents and the king offered his deepest condolences,” the royal palace statement said.

Ryan’s father was repairing the well at the time of the accident on Tuesday. He told local media the next day that his son had fallen from the shaft. Let us tell that the rescue operation under the leadership of Morocco’s Directorate of Civil Defense began on Tuesday evening in the small northern town of Tamorot, about 100 km from the city of Chefchaouen. Footage of the well from a camera on Thursday showed that the boy was alive and conscious, but there was no update on his condition since then.

Rescuers tried to get the boy oxygen, food and water, but it was unclear whether he would be able to use them. Due to the mixture of rocky and sandy soil, the rescue team considered it too dangerous to open the narrow shaft of the water well and because of this a bulldozer was used to cut a large ditch beside the well.

After this the rescuers were successful in getting the child out but he could not be saved. There is a wave of mourning on social media along with the whole country due to Ryan’s death.
