Due to heavy rains, traffic was disrupted in various parts of the city due to waterlogging. Waterlogging has been reported near parts of Dadar, Bandra, Andheri Subway, JJ Flyover, Sion. Roads were submerged in various parts of the city, forcing the routes of BEST buses to be diverted, while local trains were also reported to be delayed due to water logging on the tracks.
Central Railway PRO Shivaji M Sutar tweeted that local trains are running late on main line CSMT-Thane section due to technical problem at track point in Dadar. Whereas due to some technical fault in track points at Dadar and Parel stations, slow line trains are running late in CSMT-Kurla section. The issue is expected to be resolved in the next 15-20 minutes.
According to BMC officials, Mumbai received two reports of houses collapsing in Sion and Kalbadevi areas amid heavy rains. However, no casualties have been reported in the accident. The civic body also reported incidents of felling of trees at 10 places.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg for the next 24 hours. During this period, IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in these districts.
