Mathura, Jan 8 (PTI) The circumambulation of the ancient Dwarkadhish temple here has been banned in view of the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. A temple official gave this information on Saturday.
The temple’s public relations officer (PRO) and legal advisor Rakesh Tiwari said that distribution of any kind of ‘prasad’, including ‘charanamrit’, has also been stopped.
Tiwari said that as per the instructions of the head of the temple, Brajesh Kumar, from January 9, instead of multiple gates, the single-way system would be strictly followed for entering or exiting the temple.
According to officials, it has been made mandatory for every devotee entering the temple to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Devotees will not be allowed to stay inside the temple after having darshan of the deity.
