Kyiv: Russian soldiers accused of murder, torture and brutality of hundreds of Ukrainian civilians on the outskirts of Kyiv may have committed even more atrocities in villages and towns beyond the capital. An adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned.

At least 410 innocent civilians were murdered in the cities of Bucha and Irpin, west of Kyiv, where hastily dug mass graves have been found, according to the Daily Mail.

Journalists based in Kyiv, who have visited the region since the withdrawal of Russian forces, said there was clear evidence of war crimes. Civilians have been shot with their hands tied behind their backs and other bodies have marks of torture and rape.

But Tymofi Mylovanov, an adviser to President Zelensky and former finance minister of Ukraine, says even worse atrocities have been committed in the suburb of Brovary east of Kyiv and in villages along the highway. We have called on journalists and lawyers to visit this area to help document what has happened.

Mylovanov said that initial eyewitnesses and evidence suggest that children may have been burned alive, young women were gang-raped and then later killed.
