Teerth Purohit Mahasabha urges Hindu, Muslim groups not to make provocative statements

Mathura, May 16 (PTI) The Akhil Bharatiya Teerth Purohit Mahasabha, a body of temple priests, has urged Hindu and Muslim groups not to make provocative statements, saying it will adversely affect the tourism sector in Mathura and Varanasi.

Mahesh Pathak, national president of Akhil Bharatiya Teerth Purohit Mahasabha, said here, “Deteriorating the atmosphere in Varanasi and Mathura will not only harm the pilgrimage priests, but will also directly or indirectly harm the businessmen and people involved in the tourism industry. ”

He said that the economy of both the cities has already been badly affected by the Kovid epidemic. He condemned the alleged provocative statements of All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi. According to Pathak, Hindus are also not behind in making such statements. He said that his statement can spoil the atmosphere, so he should be stopped.
