Dhanbad: A horrific road accident took place on Kolkata-New Delhi NH-2 in Dhanbad district in the early hours of Tuesday. A speeding luxury car fell into the Khudia river. Due to which Car Savar 5 people died on the spot. The dead included two men, a woman and a child, including the driver.
According to the information, luxury car number WUB07J-3228 from Gaya in Bihar fell into Khudia river near NH-2 Barwapur located in Govindpur police station area of Dhanbad at around 5 am. The car is said to have been at a very high speed. Before climbing over the bridge over the river, the car left the road and started running on the unpaved ground on its left and fell straight into the river before the police could start. The car fell so hard in the river filled with 40 feet deep rocks and water that the four wheels of the car went up and on seeing it got absorbed in the water of the river.
After the incident, the local villagers gathered on the spot informed the Govindpur police station. On the information of the incident, Govindpur police station in-charge Surendra Kumar Singh reached the spot along with the police force. After which the bodies of all the people in the car were taken out by opening the car gate.
Govindpur police said that all the dead have been identified. The dead included Mohammad Iqbal Ahmed, Dalish Nawaz, Anabiya Nawaz and a child. All had left from their residence in Gaya. These people were going to Kolkata. At present, the police have sent the bodies of all to Dhanbad PMCH for post-mortem. Along with this, the relatives of the deceased based in Kolkata have also been informed about this.

How dreadful this accident was, it can be gauged from the fact that the car flew 20-25 feet in the air after hitting the divider before fully climbing the bridge. Then without touching the railing of the side of the bridge, it fell into the deep river below.
