Chennai. The Greater Chennai Corporation has constituted a team of officials who will approach and resolve the rain-related complaints raised by the people. An official of the corporation said that the officials of the education department of the corporation have been prepared to form the team. The team of 15 officers will try to resolve their problem by contacting all the complainants who have contacted the Monsoon Control Room. For the first time, the corporation has constituted such a team for redressal of grievances.

 

According to the report, 30 thousand 826 complaints were received by the control room of the corporation between November 6 and 22 and out of which 28 thousand complaints have been redressed. Action is on on remaining complaints also. Responding to the reason behind the formation of the team, the official said that some field level officials send false reports without actually correcting the issue. A team has been formed to identify such officers and take action. Recently, Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi had passed an order regarding the formation of the team. It is to be noted that after the rain, the Corporation had opened the Monsoon Control Room at Rippon Building and 50 numbers were also issued to receive complaints.
