There has been a boil in West Bengal over the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh. People are protesting in anger from metropolis to districts and towns. On Tuesday, people staged sit-ins across the state under the banner of various Hindu organisations.

Kolkata. There has been a boil in West Bengal over the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh. People are protesting in anger from metropolis to districts and towns. On Tuesday, people staged sit-ins across the state under the banner of various Hindu organisations. In protest against the attack, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized a rally at Rani Rasmani Avenue in Calcutta, demanding the immediate arrest and identification of the attackers in Bangladesh. The speakers also sought the intervention of the United Nations to control the situation. Devotees of various ISKCON temples in the district including Kolkata are also protesting by taking to the streets. Protests will be held at ISKCON centers across the world on 23 October.
Processions were also taken out on behalf of the larger Hindu society near College Square, Tarasundari Park, Barabazar and Elgin Road Gurudwara. The people involved in the procession raised slogans against the violence in Bangladesh. The protesters were raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram. His demand was that the Hindus living in Bangladesh should get justice.

Devotees of 150 countries of ISKCON will oppose the attack. This information was given by Radharaman Das, Vice President, ISKCON Kolkata. He informed that on 23rd October, demonstrations will be held at all ISKCON centers and at various places all over the world (in about 150 countries). The arrest of the culprits will be demanded. He said that demonstrations are being held against the violence across the country. The UNO has also expressed its concern while expressing its response. Protests are taking place in America, Russia, Australia all countries. (Related news also on page 4)
