It is a matter of relief that in the last 24 hours only 3 thousand 993 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported across the country, which is the lowest number of cases of infection in 662 days. With this, the total number of epidemic cases increased to 4,29,71,308 while the number of active cases has come down to 49,948.
Recovery rate reached beyond 98 percent
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the death toll due to corona virus has reached 5,15,210 due to the loss of 108 patients. At the same time, the number of active patients is 0.12 percent of the total cases of corona infection while the rate of people recovering from Kovid-19 is 98.68 percent.
What is the daily positivity rate?
According to the data, a decrease of 4,170 has been registered in the number of active cases of Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate of corona infection has increased to 0.46 percent while the weekly positivity rate is 0.68 percent. The number of people recovering from Kovid-19 infection has increased to 4,24,06,150 and the death rate was recorded at 1.20 percent.

179 crore doses of vaccine have been given
Know that the vaccination campaign against Corona is also going on fast across the country. So far 179.13 crore doses of vaccine have been given under the vaccination campaign.
Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crores and on June 23, 2021, crossed three crores. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.
